September 30 marks Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Our office will be closed on Wednesday September 30 in order to support our staff team in reflecting, participating in community events, and furthering their understanding of Indigenous history.
No reception services will be available and team members may not return emails or voicemails until we reopen on Thursday October 1.
At Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region, we recognize that reconciliation isn’t a one-day event or a box to check; it is an ongoing journey. We approach this with humility, knowing there is much we must learn and do.
