Cool Cars!
On Sunday August 23rd, my family enjoyed a great day out at the Extend-A-Family Summer Cruise.
The cars were AMAZING! We could spend hours admiring the vision, craftsmanship, and dedication that goes into building, maintaining, and showing each car.
The event was a good time to connect with other people who appreciate this kind of show. 
I saw John at this event. John and I both were connected with Extend-A-Family, which was unbeknownst to us when we had a chance meeting in the parking lot of a local grocery store a few years ago! At the time, I was driving a cute little “red rocket”, otherwise known as a Honda Del Sol. As I was hauling myself out of my low ancient roadster, John, looking ever so determined, approached me. He had a twinkle in his eye, as he asked me a number of questions about my car, its features, its history! We had a great little chat, and I thought it was really cool that this 20 year old rust bucket was on his shortlist of things to admire!
Cars. We name them. We look after them. We even write songs about them! Cars are another thing where people can connect and find common ground. They’re cool, unique and one of a kind, just like us!
