POSTPONED: Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region’s 2020 DSP Conference

Important Notice

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone our 2020 DSP Conference, Cultivating community: Helping you grow to help others belong, that was scheduled for April 17 and 18, 2020.
This decision was made for the health and safety of conference attendees and workshop speakers and is based on recommendations from Region of Waterloo Public Health and the Ministry of Health.
It is our hope to hold the conference at a later date when the situation has improved. All conference registrants have been contacted via email.

Join us for Cultivating community: Helping you grow to help others belong, a conference presented by Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region.

At this two-day conference, you will learn about what anti-oppression is and the skills to address inequities, inaccessibility, and discrimination before they develop into major conflicts.
You will also gain the tools and knowledge to help people who are vulnerable to social exclusion through person-centered support and community building. Recognizing the gifts and capacities of all people, CCLD (Citizen-Centered Leadership Development) offers a refreshingly thoughtful framework and strategies for supporting full and active participation in community life for people living with a disability.
