Join us for Cultivating community: Helping you grow to help others belong, a conference presented by Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region.
At this two-day virtual conference, you will gain the tools and knowledge to help people who are vulnerable to social exclusion through person-centered support and community building. Recognizing the gifts and capacities of all people, CCLD (Citizen-Centered Leadership Development) offers a refreshingly thoughtful framework and strategies for supporting full and active participation in community life for people living with a disability.
You will also learn about how to “build community” and the power of meaningful moments – how you can support people to have purpose and value in their day. You will also learn how to improve the quality of someone’s day, based on building genuine relationships and roles, rather than only supporting them in activities.
