Exploring Interests in Community

This workshop is for those who want to be involved in their community, but are not sure where to start. In this interactive training, you will be talking about and identifying your interests and how to find resources in the community that support them. You will plan your goals in manageable steps and you will leave with the beginnings of an action plan.

This opportunity is available to everyone who has a desire to discover our community, whether you’re new to Waterloo Region, new to direct support work or if you’re curious about what our community has to offer.

This workshop is led by qualified facilitators with lived experience and is open to all community members.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is geared towards an adult audience, where the support person and the person being served collaborate. It is designed for Direct Support People, people over the age of 14 living with a disability and their families, staff members and community members.
